Feb 2025 - Present Huawei Technologies Lanka

Senior Cloud Engineer

  • Translated customer workloads into scalable Huawei Cloud architectures (ECS, OBS, GaussDB, CBR, SecMaster).
  • Designed a CBR backup vault with lifecycle tiering and optional cross-region replication.
  • Collaborated with HQ to propose Huawei Cloud Stack + DeepSeek AI as Cloudera alternatives.
Jan 2023 - Feb 2025 London Stock Exchange Group

Senior DevOps Engineer

  • Led weekly FX project releases for 3 projects, managing production support, QA environments, and client rollouts.
  • Provided hands-on release support, including installations, documentation, sanity setup for QA workflow, and issue resolution.
  • Automated RFC and release uploads via the DX1 Uploader project, improving CI/CD pipeline stability.
  • Built a Terraform library for AWS MSK provisioning, integrated into Jenkins pipelines.
  • Migrated and optimized CI/CD pipelines to GitLab from Jenkins.
  • Directed RHEL 8.10 AMI upgrade, resolving compatibility issues and strengthening cloud security.
